Our bus picks you up in Alta and we set out to hunt the famous northern lights. There is no fixed route — we always drive to the best spots for the night’s weather. Along the way we share stories about Sámi culture, the region and the aurora itself.

Our roots run deep into the Sámi culture of the High North. For over five years we have been offering guests from around the world an authentic Arctic experience — not just a transfer, but a journey with people who belong here and know every road, every viewpoint, and every weather pattern that makes the North special.
Our signature experience, Tour Aurora, takes small groups out into the wilderness in search of the northern lights. We keep groups intimate, provide thermal suits, hot drinks and snacks, and have a passion for aurora photography — so every guest has the best possible chance of capturing that life-changing moment.

Where do you pick us up?
Alta port / Cruise docks, Thon Hotel Alta, Scandic Hotel Alta and Tourist Information Alta. Other pickup places are possible on request.
Where exactly does the bus meet us at Alta Cruise Dock, and when?
Alta has only one cruise dock, and there is only one parking lot — you cannot miss us! We will be waiting for you there. Simply look for our bus with the Luuso signs on the front and on the sides (group tour).
What time is drop-off and where?
Drop-off is sharp at midnight (00:00), at the same location where we picked you up — Alta Cruise Dock.
What is the maximum group size for a private tour?
Private tours accommodate up to 10 people — perfect for families, couples travelling together, or small groups who want an exclusive and personal experience.
What vehicle is used for private tours?
Private tours travel in a Mercedes Sprinter 2024 and 2026 — a modern, spacious and comfortable minivan, fully equipped for Arctic conditions.
Do you provide warm clothing?
Yes! We provide thermal suits in sizes S to 3XL.
Do you have child seats on board?
Yes — we have integrated child seats fitted directly into the bus seats, with a secure harness system.
Can you guarantee we will see the northern lights?
The northern lights are a natural phenomenon — no one can promise nature. What we can promise is that we use our deep local knowledge and live weather data to give you the best possible chance of a sighting. We drive to where the skies are clearest, away from light pollution, and we never stop searching.
